  • DEW CORNBREAD WAFFLES WITH DEW CHILLI & FIXINS'

    This Dish is favorite weekend night meal. It's easy to make and the flavors were meant to go together! The Cornbread Waffles with Chilli is just one of many recipes you can make with the LARGE FAMILY SIZE CAN of DEW CHILLI. The person who sent me this recipe said she got it while her and a few other teachers were making plans for a teacher appreciation meal. They wanted something different and this is what they came up with. John and I tried and it, and WOW! did we love it! You will need to pull out your old trusty Waffle Iron. Preheat it to a medium-high setting. If your Iron has a number setting, turn that dial to 4 ( certainly higher if you want a darker, crispier waffle.) Now at this point you will want to open up your can of Dew Chilli. Remember these are Family Size cans. One typically feeds 8 people with just Chilli, with Beans up to 16. So if you are using it as a topping you will not need very much. But I slowly heat the can up and what I don't use I make another dish or freeze it for later use. The key is slowly heat the Chilli up. It's already cooked so make sure you stir it a lot and you don't act like you are actually cooking the Chilli. You're just warming it up. In medium bowl, combine both packs of cornbread mix with eggs and milk. Stir well until it's all nicely mixed together. Now, once the waffle iron is heated, spray with a nonstick spray. Some like the kind with flour in it, others like the buttery tasting one. It's up to you on what you like. Then pour one cup of cornbread mix onto waffle iron. Repeat until you get the amount of waffles you want. I like to double stack them. Look at these babies, nice golden brown with a little crunch. Now comes the fun part. You can top your waffles with Dew Chilli, lettuce and Sour Cream, Shredded Cheese and Diced Tomatoes. Get a little creative. Just add Dew Chilli with or without beans and top it with an Egg or two. I like Sunny Side up. YUMMY :) Now if you want to really have some fun with the family or friends. Do this. Make a Cornbread Waffle Bar. Just set out all the hot waffles along with all the fixins' in a bowl, and let your friends or family stack it up however they like. It's that simple folks.   • 1 Family Size Dew Chilli Can = 10 Scrumptious Dishes.

    That's right. If you are looking to stretch the budget but have some good eats then read on. After that put on that apron and get ready to create some memorable dishes. To start you'll need a Family Size Dew Chilli Can. Remember all the spices are already in the Dew. That's the secret spices and blends that have been protected for over 111 years. The family size cans are large cans that contain the true Tavern Style Chilli. The All Meat can of Chilli can feed 8 people just by opening it up, warming it up and then serving it up. Add Chilli beans, or Black Beans or a combination and you can easily Feed 16. But these dishes we are about to tell you about, all offer a unique taste. Making it possible to plan your menu for the entire week. Or whenever you want to serve them up. So let's get Cooking. Ok? THE DEW SHEPERD'S PIE Warm the Chilli in a Baking Dish. Stir in Frozen Peas for an extra hit of veggies if you'd like. Top with mashed potatoes. Bake until brown and bubbly. Dig in. It's that simple. EMPANADAS Fold prepared dough circles (empanada wrappers or pie dough work great) around Chilli, crimp to seal and bake until Golden. You can top with shredded cheese, sour cream or another of your favorite toppings. Chilli Mac N Cheese Did you know that back in 1909 Dew Chilli made this Dish Famous. So much so other restaurant chains picked up on it and started calling it the Chili Mac. They didn't want folks to know that their Chili was actually Dew Chilli. That's alright. Thousands have enjoyed it for years. It is very easy. Stir Chilli into your favorite mac-and-cheese recipe and serve as is, or perhaps you may want to top with some bacon bits. Yummy! PICADILLO Warm up some Dew Chilli, I like to add a small can of sweet diced tomato's. Then stir in a generous dose of raisins and Green Olives to make this Cuban Classic. Serve over a bed or Rice. ENCHILADAS This is a crowd favorite. Gently fry corn tortillas and roll them around shredded cheese before tucking into a pan, topping it off with Chilli, or Chilli with Beans as seen in the picture. Bake until the shells get a golden tent. SHAKSHUKA I love the combination of Chilli and Sunny Side up eggs. This Middle Eastern fricassee has only a few must-have ingredients: Tomatoes, chiles, onions and eggs. Combine the ingredients to taste, top with your eggs. Then serve up the dish with a crusty bread and oh my my it is oh so good. CHILLI EGGS BENEDICT Well since we are the egg and chilli topic let's whip up this popular dish. Warm up some Dew Chilli and spoon over toasted English muffins before topping with poached eggs and hollandaise. Sweet potato hash alongside it would work nicely. TWICE-BAKED POTATOES: Bake potatoes, halve them, scoop out their filling, mash and swirl in Dew Chilli. Spoon back into the skins, top with shredded Jack Cheese, and Bake till warm and golden. TAMALE PIE Pour Chilli into a baking dish, top with dollops of your favorite cornbread batter, and bake until golden and bubbling. Spike the batter with cheese and fresh corn to really go all out . STUFFED PEPPERS: Add cooked rice or quinoa to the Chilli and spoon into hollowed-out peppers with a flurry of freshly grated parmesan, then bake until the peppers are soft and the filling is heated through.   • Messy and Oh So Good! It's the Dew Messy Taco Plate.

    Go ahead and dive in to the Dew Messy Taco Dish. We actually serve it up in our stores and are now sharing how to make this popular dish at home. It's Good and It's Easy! Here is what you'll need. Taco Shells Dew Chilli with our without beans Shredded Lettuce Diced Tomato's Diced Onions if you like. Taco Sauce mild or hot. Sour Cream Shredded Cheddar Cheese Black Olives if you like. First on medium heat on the stove top pour in your Dew Chilli. Since the Chilli is already fully cooked all you need to do is slowly warm it up. Keep stirring to avoid scorching. Then add beans to the Chilli after the Chilli is warmed up. Never cook them together from the get go. You see, Beans act like a sponge and will take away a lot of the flavor if cooked from a cold product to warm product together. So add beans after Chilli is heated and warm for a short period of time. Get a spoon full and taste it to make sure it is heated enough for you. After you add the beans, you can take your Taco Shells and warm them in the oven about 325 Degrees. This take less than five minutes. I always say when the shells are done the Chilli and Beans are done heating. Take your shells out of the oven and fill about half way with Dew Chilli. Then I like to mix the Diced Onions, Tomato's and black olives in a bowl together so there is a good mix. Add just a little on top of the Chilli in the Shell. Smother with your lettuce Sour Cream and Taco Sauce and then add a sprinkling of your diced mixture on top. The Messy Taco Plate is Messy. Smother all the shells, we serve three shells per plate where only a tiny, tiny bit of the shell can be seen popping through the toppings. All that's left is to ENJOY :) ……. The founder, Joe Bocklemann loved Chilli and came up with his own tavern style all meat chilli and spices. He decided to share his love of Chilli. So one very early morning while walking through a Park in Springfield he looked down at his shoes and saw the Morning Dew. He decided to open a Chilli parlor and named it Dew Chilli. The process in making the Dew has always been highly guarded despite the fact many have tried to copy it. Now, over a 111-years later Joe Bocklemanns desire to share his love is going national.   • How To Do The Dew.

    Chilli may be in our name but there are so many ways to do the Dew. The recipes we are about to share are easy to make, full of flavor and feeds a hungry gang. of it saving a bunch of dough! It's all about economics these days. The recipes we are about to share are easy to make, full of flavor and feeds a hungry gang many times over! This is what you'll need for the first recipe we are going to talk about. You should be able to get three large meals using just one Quart of Dew Chilli, or if you want to get Chilli and do it later, you can do the same by getting The Dew Family Size Can of Chilli. I know, I know what you are thinking, that's a lot of beans. It is but trust me, each adds a flavor that really is awesome. One note, never cook your Chilli with beans together. You see beans act like a sponge and will absorb all of the flavor in way that will make your dish very bland. So here is what you do. If you get a Cooked Quart from the Dew, Just slowly heat the chilli up. If you buy that Family size can, which is more than a quart, you will need to cook it a bit longer. Heat, or cook slowly in a large pot again by itself. Do not add beans yet. Once the Chilli is warmed up or cooked We go to the next step. Slowly start adding the different beans. When you add the black beans, drain them before adding. All the other beans add the sauce in the pot. Just drain the black beans so you don't loose that nice red chilli color. Stir constantly so you don't get scorching. Once the beans warm up your done! With a large Ladle serve it up in a cup for some really breath taking Chilli that doesn't taste like a lot of beans. Really. You can serve a lot of folks with that, but say you served 4, you will have plenty of left overs. Next Everyone talks about the so called Chili Mac. Well here is a history lesson. Did you know that the Chili Mac served by many restaurants was actually a Dew Recipe? The restaurants who made the name famous actually use to get their Chili from the Dew for their pasta and instead of calling it Dew Mac they called it Chili Mac. The pasta dish is Mike's favorite toped with Tomato's and onions and Cheddar Cheese. The Dew Calls this dish DewWays. Because you can make it your way. On potato's, Mac N Cheese, which is very popular, or the traditional way on a bed of pasta. The pasta dish is Mike's favorite toped with Tomatos and onions and Cheddar Cheese. Keep in mind, that original pot of Chilli you made now made another meal for four. So now you have 8 dishes out of this one pot of Dew Chilli. NOW THIS NEXT DISH IS STUFFED PEPPERS!!!!!!!!!!!! This is soooooooo good. What I suggest is you use a Red, Orange or Yellow Pepper. They tend to give a smoother, sweeter taste. Or use a mixture of all them to make your table look a little more fun. Place your peppers in a large dish that you can cover while baking. Now, I add one more ingredient. In the bottom of each pepper before I put them in the oven to bake. I add some Diced Tomatoes and Sweet Onion. Then you fill your peppers with the Dew Chilli and bake at 350-degrees for about a hour. Place in a bowl then top it off with a cheese mixture. You can easily make six peppers with the original pot of Dew Chilli you made. Now that gives you 14 dishes from one pot of Chilli that started with a Dew Quart or The Dew Family Size Can of Chilli. Which by the way you can buy at any Dew Location or at dewchilli.com You know what, even making all of that you will most likely will have a some left over to do with what you want. Freeze it and use it for later. These are just a few dishes you can make from a small amount of Dew Chilli. Each dish has a totally different flavor.   • MAKING A DIFFERENCE ONE MEAL AT A TIME.

    Together we can. Yes we can, and with you we are. This week the Dew Good Team made another round of deliveries feeding Springfield, Illinois area Seniors in need. It's called Dew Good Food For Seniors. Every Tuesday for lunch our Dew Good Team prepare nutritious meals and deliver them to Springfield area Seniors, at no charge to any Senior needing a hot meal. The Dew Good Food For Seniors started after a local agency contacted us informing us they were having a difficult time keeping up with the demand. Well, with our stores being on limited operations, we had the resources, the people wanting to work and the desire to help, so we launched the Dew Good Food For Seniors program. The Dew Funds a big portion on the program but it has grown. Hundreds of meals are now being prepared and delivered each week to our Seniors. So we have set up a go fund me page gf.me/u/xuqtgq. We have been fortunate to receive many donations from residents from Springfield, Illinois and surrounding areas.
