Come on who doesn't love Chili? It warms the belly on a cold winter day and warms the heart in the middle of summer.
It is one of the most comforting foods in existence.
The Daily Meal, a National Food Publication describes Chili as "A well-made bowl of chili is a timeless American classic with nearly universal appeal".
In fact, the publication has conducted a national study in an effort to determine "The Best Chili In America".
Springfield, Illinois was once considered the Chili Capital of the Country with over a hundred Chili Establishments, including street vendors. in the City.
Through the years, and one by one, that number dwindled, and the once Chili Capital lost its Chili Bragging rights.
That was until a recent National search for best Chili conducted by the Daily Meal.
We want to Congratulate the Chili Parlor in Springfield who made the top 25 list of Best Chili in the Country. It was Founded in 1945 as Joe Rogers Chili and now known as the Chili Parlor after an ownership change. Congratulations and thank you for making our community proud.
All of us at Dew Chilli are honored to also be on the Top 25 best Chili in the Country.
Dew Chilli founded in 1909. The Daily Meal states, "The recipie for its legendary chli hasn't changed since they day it opened, and while it's a closely guarded secret, it's rich and simply made with ground beef and beans. You can order it as-is, atop tamales, or on a hot dog; pasta and more".
